Sending from Multisig
Please note: you can only execute transactions from your tracking account if the majority of custodians sign a given transaction.
The following will take a look at which steps both the sender and the custodians need to take to successfully execute a transaction.
You can either initiate a transaction from your multisig wallet or your tracking account. If you wish to do so from a tracking account, please follow this tutorial to create one: creating a tracking account.
Please select your multsignature wallet or tracking account.
Click on the "send" button and do the following:
- Enter receiver address.
- Specify the number of tokens you wish to send.
Once all details have been entered, type in your password and click on "Confirm transaction" to initiate the transfer.
After the transaction has been initiated from the multisig account or the tracking account, the custodians need to sign the transaction so that it can be executed.
The custodians need to be logged into the wallets whose public keys have been set as custodians of the multi-signature account. Instructions on defining a multisig's custodians can be found here: creating a mutlisig wallet.
Navigate to the tracking account that is connected to your multisig. In the assets tab, you will see an hourglass symbol indicating that a transaction needs your approval. Click on the transaction that is awaiting your confirmation.
At this step, you can review the transaction before signing it. If everything is correct, enter your password and click on "confirm transaction."
The other custodians of the multi-signature account will have to follow the same procedure until the specified amount of custodians has signed the transaction.
